Dear Mr. Carter,
It has been 27 years since your speech. Our energy consumption has grown more rapidly than your predictions as our economic growth has been phenomenal since we got rid of you, and energy is the lifeblood of our economy. So why have we not run out of the fossil fuels 20 years ago as you predicted, and why is oil 30% cheaper than it was during your presidency (adjusted for inflation) if it is so scarce. Perhaps you and your "learned" friends missed the fact that the earth continues to make more fossil fuels. You see a static earth is as scientifically silly as a flat one.
Anyway, so long and thanks for the inflation.
Your Friend,
Todd
Oh by the way, those Iranian radical Imams you left us with are still going strong.
